Monday 29th October 2018 - 11:15 to 13:15 The first overnight frost for a long time had melted by the time I went round the park. It was pleasant in the sunshine if you could get out of the chilling wind. The geese   and gulls  are coming back to the lake - along with a Grey Heron . It was good to see some small birds again, including: Goldcrest ; Siskin ; Goldfinch  and House Sparrow . A long scrutiny of some yew trees finally revealed Redwings  and a Song Thrush A full list of the birds seen is given in the Bird Table .
