It was warm and humid.
There were many
Canada goslings
in at least three groups. The youngest are still
small, yellow and fluffy. The older ones were greyer and larger. The oldest were
nearly as big as the adults.
The
young Coots
are nearly as big as the adults and are moulting into their full
plumage.
The
young Mallards
are almost indistinguishable from their parents.
One of the
Great Crested Grebes
was sat on their nest and the other was in
attendance. They persevere through all the interruptions from the terrapins and the
coots. They deserve to succeed.
Two
Egyptian Geese
were on their own. It looks like their goslings have dispersed.
