Character Areas The master plan shows what is left of Worth Park today compared with the historical map above. Crawley Borough Council and our Landscape Architects, Allan Scott, have subdivided Worth Park into seven distinct areas : The Upper and Italian Terrace (1) Formal Gardens (Camellia Walk surrounding the Sundial, Dutch and Fountain Garden (2) Forecourt with Rockery (including old carriage turn circle) (3) Ridley’s Court (the former stable quadrangle) (4) The Lawns (including Crawley Croquet Club ) (5) The Central Parkland (6) The Lake and Woodland (7) Thanks to the Lottery Funding, not only were the historical features restored but two additional items have been instored in the Park, mainly for our younger visitors: The Time Line Totem, in front of Ridley’s Court (8) The Guernsey Cows (9) All character areas will be described in the following pages in due course. At present, refer to the History Page to read about all features or refer to the information boards in the Park.
