Sunday 03-04-2022 - 11:00 to 13:00 A sunny day but still chilly. The frosts of the last few nights have bitten the magnolia flowers. The Mallard family is down to only two ducklings. The two Egyptian goslings are getting quite large and may be big enough to survive. The Moorhen is still sitting on a nest. There is a nest on one of the islands - probably made by a Canada Goose. One Great Crested Grebe was displaying breeding finery. But there did not seem to be another one to appreciate the display. The juvenile Mute Swan is nearly all white now. There is a small clump of Cowslips in flower. A full list and count of the birds seen is given in the Bird Table .
