Monday 23-05-2022 - 12:15 to 13:30 The weather was grey and threatening with light drizzle. There were babies everywhere. The Canada Geese had four family groups with 8, 6, 4 and 2 goslings of different sizes. Some were very small. There were three Coot families with 3, 2 and 1 chicks. There were 2 Moorhen chicks and two groups of 3 and 2 Mallard ducklings. The 2 Egyptian goslings are now almost indistinguishable from their parents. We could hear young birds calling in the bushes; but we could not see them. A full list and count of the birds seen is given in the Bird Table .
