We
tried
to
combine
spotting
the
birds
with
the
long
Thursday
Wellbeing
walk.
It
probably
reduced
the
number
of
birds
recorded
as
we
had
to
hurry
along
to
keep
up.
Nevertheless
it
was an enjoyable walk in warm weather.
It is good that the family of
Egyptian Geese
is still intact with
eight growing goslings
.
Unusually
there
were
no
Canada
Geese
and
the
Mute
Swan
was
not
on
the
lake
(one
has
been seen in Grattons Park recently).
There were
young Woodpigeons
among the adults. The young do not have the white collar.
Two
Grey Herons
were nice to see.
There were very few
gulls
. But autumn is coming and no doubt they will return.
