21/02/2025: Stephen Peters: Another one of our Camellia plants here at Worth Park has been given Plant Guardian status. It is located down by the lake and the name of the Camellia is: Camellia japonica 'Maud Messel'. You can view the published record on the Plant Guardians website . (The Messel attribute is of special interest to us. Nymans , a National Trust property situated not far from Crawley, was bought by Ludwig Messel in1890. Maud Messel was the wife of Leonard Messel, the eldest son of Ludwig, who inherited Nymans in 1915.)
